There is a lot of excitement in the photo 3D community right now over recent success in synchronizing Canon point and shoot digital cameras. For very little additional cost you can get excellent sync of two Canon cameras. You only need to make a simple switch and install the free program Stereo Data Maker on a SD memory card.

You can have a good digital stereo camera system for about $340! I bought two Canon A570is cameras but have not finished putting together the usb switch.
